About the project
A library that matches a heard Chinese name against a roster (e.g. a class list): compares by pinyin syllables, handles polyphonic surnames, accents and character fallbacks, and returns candidates with reasons when unsure. Zero dependencies, Node 14+.
Useful for
- Match voice-recognized student names against a class roster
- Split punctuation-free speech into per-person segments with splitSpeech
- Audit a roster for characters missing pinyin via auditRoster before going live

Stars per day
Bars show daily stars; the line is a moving average of the available history. Short histories do not yet establish a reliable usual pace. Red marks spike days.
Why it’s trending
- 31 stars so far today, about 58 expected by the end of the day.
- The spike has held for 2 days in a row — not a one-off blip.
- The repository is 5 days old and already has 64 stars. With less than two weeks of history, there's no usual pace to compare the spike against yet.
- Top new repositories this week: #187.

Star trust
Growth looks organic: forks and discussion are in line with active projects, and stars arrive unevenly, the way people give them.
These are heuristics, not a verdict: we judge by the repository’s behavior, not by a list of stargazers.
