What The Function: your AI agent decompiles games you own into C that compiles to the exact same bytes. Runs locally.

About the project
decomp.wtf points an existing AI coding agent at a game ROM you own, hands it one function at a time, compiles each attempt with the game's original compiler and checks the result byte for byte. It runs locally and supports N64, PS1/PS2, GameCube, Wii, GBA and DS.
Useful for
- Decompile a function from your own N64 ROM and verify it compiles to identical bytes
- Continue a public decomp project by letting agents claim unmatched functions
- Run the bundled Demo Quest 64 ROM to watch the agent workflow end to end

Star growth looks organic. Data as of October 14, 2026, 17:26 UTC.
The star-growth assessment does not verify whether the project is safe to run.
Stars per day
Bars show stars per UTC day; the line is a moving average of available history. Gaps mean missing data, not zero growth. Today's bar is incomplete. Red marks spike days.
Why it’s trending
- There are not enough fresh counter measurements for today's UTC day. The gain is unknown.
- The repository is 1 day old and already has 114 stars. With less than two weeks of history, there's no usual pace to compare the spike against yet.
- Top new repositories this week: #178.
- About 33 forks a day — people are taking the code.
- Recent forks include notable developers: @deckarep (245 followers).

Star trust
Growth looks organic: forks and discussion are in line with active projects, and stars arrive unevenly, the way people give them.
These are heuristics, not a verdict: we judge by the repository’s behavior, not by a list of stargazers.
