Stretchtext replies for Claude Code: short by default, each phrase grows in place when you click it

About the project

A Claude Code plugin that collapses long replies into short phrases: clicking a phrase expands it in place, clicking «« shrinks it back. It implements Ted Nelson's stretchtext idea so you read less without losing context.

Useful for
  • Install the plugin in a Claude Code session and switch to the fullscreen renderer for clicks
  • Collapse a long Claude reply and expand only the phrases you need by clicking
  • Run the benchmark on your own transcripts to measure how much text you actually read

5.3 Early signal Magnitude out of 10 — how fast interest is growing, not a quality score.

Star growth looks organic. Data as of October 15, 2026, 07:41 UTC.

The star-growth assessment does not verify whether the project is safe to run.

Stars per day

060120October 14, 2026October 15, 2026

Bars show stars per UTC day; the line is a moving average of available history. Gaps mean missing data, not zero growth. Today's bar is incomplete. Red marks spike days.

Why it’s trending

  • Star-counter measurements on 2026-10-15 (UTC), 06:44–07:28: 97 → 111 stars (+14). This is the change over that interval.
  • Estimated end-of-day forecast: about +72 stars, using observed gains and the previous day.
  • The repository is 1 day old and already has 111 stars. With less than two weeks of history, there's no usual pace to compare the spike against yet.
  • Top new repositories this week: #164.
  • About 29 forks a day — people are taking the code.

Star trust

Growth looks organic: forks and discussion are in line with active projects, and stars arrive unevenly, the way people give them.

These are heuristics, not a verdict: we judge by the repository’s behavior, not by a list of stargazers.
