CluvexStudio/Aether
A Rust userspace WARP core for censored networks, built around MASQUE over HTTP/3 and HTTP/2.
About the project
A Rust censorship-circumvention client that auto-discovers reachable routes, builds an encrypted tunnel over MASQUE (HTTP/3 and HTTP/2) or WireGuard, and exposes a local SOCKS5 proxy for apps. Aimed at networks with DPI, protocol fingerprinting and endpoint blocking.
Useful for
- Run a local SOCKS5 proxy and point a browser at it on a DPI-filtered network
- Deploy the static binary on an OpenWrt router and share the proxy over LAN
- Run the tunnel in Docker while persisting the WARP identity across restarts

Star trust
Growth looks organic: forks and discussion are in line with active projects, and stars arrive unevenly, the way people give them.
These are heuristics, not a verdict: we judge by the repository’s behavior, not by a list of stargazers.
